The Cattlemarket site is placed in the upper part of the city, at the bottom of Walcot Street Artisan Quarter.

The riverside site can in future accommodate 50 - 80,000sq.ft. mixed use development and would be suitable for a range of uses including leisure, culture and office.

The adjacent Cornmarket grade 2 listed building has recently been sold by the Council for redevelopment.  This will provide up to 8,000sq.ft. office workspace and will protect the future of the historic buildings.
