High Street Hub opens in Bath

A temporary hub to support high street traders and local businesses to thrive as they recover from the effects of the pandemic opened in the centre of Bath on 14 June. The High Street Hub has been set up in a former empty shop, using primarily recycled and reclaimed furniture, in Cheap St by Bath & North East Somerset Council to provide quick access to council support for businesses.

Green Business Grants - Deadline Extended!

Businesses across Bath and North East Somerset wanting to reduce their environmental impact and help meet the district-wide zero carbon target by cutting their carbon emissions, are being reminded that the deadline to apply for West of England Green Business Grants is fast approaching. The grant funding window has however been extended by a fortnight and now closes on Sunday 11 July..

Bath based community business offers free solar power installation

Bath & West Community Energy (BWCE), a not-for-profit community enterprise, is running a morning webinar on 15th July to tell local businesses about their offer of free solar power installation.

This is a great opportunity for low cost and hassle free installation of renewable energy on your building. BWCE install the solar panels, own and maintain them and sell the electricity back to you at a guaranteed discount to your main energy supplier. In addition, surplus income from rooftop installations is invested in local community projects. It’s a win-win situation.
