This September 29th, Bath College is launching the Bath Academy of Business, in a bid to give students valuable skills and industry experience.
Skills and Employment
Firms across the South West are finding recruitment difficult thanks to skills gaps. The recent LEP survey hopes to address this by advising policy development in response to business' needs. Bath College is leading the charge with its new Business Academy, which will work directly with companies to provide students with up-to-date, relevant skills that businesses need from employees.
Visitors and residents alike can attest to Bath's diverse and delicious food scene. From the creation of the "Farmer's Market" concept, to the famous Great Bath Feast, the city is all about celebrating its gastronomical prowess.
Bath Quays South is a project led by Bath and North East Somerset Council in consultation with BMT.
The project consists of the regeneration of Newark Works for use as creative workspaces; two new buildings for BMT and for use as residential/specialist office use; flood defences and river walls; and new public spaces.
This September, a panel of experts will wrestle a dilemma that's affecting all internet users, one way or another.
What's the Issue?
Are you interested in websites, content, advertising or marketing? Then you'll surely be aware of the growing threat of Adblock to revenue.
Just as the internet killed off much of hard-copy publishing, so Adblock is threatening online publications. With most consumers unwilling to pay subscription fees, sites must use adverts to generate an income.
This annual event, relevant to businesses wishing to supply the public sector - returns on Wednesday 6th July, with the theme of "Your Role in the Supply Chain".
This event is a great way to find out more about public sector supply chains and how to access opportunities, as well as an opportunity to get some tips on tendering and any new requirements coming into force. Procurement leads from West of England authorities will also be attending the event.
